A native of Media, Pennsylvania, Ann had a true fascination with the weather as the afternoon summertime thunderstorms would roll over her home as a young child. That fascination turned into a lifelong passion for all kinds of weather and the need to know “how it all worked”.
She followed that passion for science and achieved a B.S. in meteorology and atmospheric sciences and a minor in climatology from Penn State University in 2017. Through her experience at the university, she worked with a group of scientists on the NASA ACT America project which relates the weather patterns to the transport of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
She was also the meteorologist for Centre County Report, a live weekly show that aired on WPSU. After graduation, Ann moved to Atlanta to work at CNN headquarters with the Weather and Climate department.
She is an avid weather enthusiast as well as an environmental protection advocate. Her passion is with the community and keeping weather fun and interesting for others and wants to bring a little extra sunshine to your weekend mornings. Grab a cup of coffee and catch her at 6-7 a.m.and 8-9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
