Amanda Peterson is the traffic anchor of abc27 Daybreak. She joined abc27 in February 2013.

While attending Shippensburg University, Amanda fell in love with journalism. She thrives off of the fast-paced environment of a newsroom and enjoys all aspects of local news.

Amanda believes everyone has a story to tell and loves sharing those stories. One of her favorites highlighted a young Midstate athlete who used his soccer talents to help kids around the world learn and appreciate the sport. For that story, Amanda was honored by the Associated Press.

While working in the Midstate Amanda has been fortunate enough to meet some interesting people, like a racquetball-playing rodeo clown, a 91-year-old bowling legend and the players of a Midstate rugby team who earned a spot as top four in the nation.

During the fall, you can catch Amanda reporting for abc27’s Friday Night Football program.

When she’s not in the newsroom, Amanda enjoys spending time with her two rescue dogs, Aubree and Henry.
