HANOVER, Pa. (WHTM) – An incident in Hanover prompted a heavy police presence for nearly four hours Monday afternoon.
A York County 911 dispatcher said police were called to the area of Fulton and Pleasant streets just before 2 p.m.
ABC27’s Mark Hall reported that police blocked off streets for an apparent standoff that ended around 6 p.m.
Firefighters were called around 5:30 p.m. for a fire in the home. It was not immediately clear whether the fire was accidental or intentionally set.
State troopers and local officers from neighboring municipalities assisted Hanover police.
No other details have been made available.
