Body found during search for missing East Hempfield man

UPDATE: East Hempfield police say at around 3:30 p.m. Monday, a male’s body was found in a river at Wheatland Hills Park.

The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office is helping identify the body and the cause of death.


LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – Police are asking for the public’s help to find a Lancaster County man who went missing last week.

Samual Pulles, 38, of East Hempfield Township, was last seen Wednesday evening at the Lowe’s store on Rohrerstown Road. He told a family member he walking to his home in the 700 block of Scarsdale Circle, but he never arrived there, township police said.

He was reported missing on Saturday.

Police said there is nothing to suggest foul play or suspicious circumstances at this time.

Pulles is known to walk trails in Wheatland Hills Park and may have been in that area since Wednesday. Officers and firefighters searched the park over the weekend and planned to search a wooded area of the park and the adjoining Little Conestoga River again on Monday.
