Shooting suspect dead after standoff

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A man wanted for a shooting last weekend in Harrisburg is dead after a standoff with police on Saturday.

According to police, 24-year-old Daequann Buckner barricaded himself inside a residence on the 2400 block of Berryhill Street on Saturday afternoon.

Police Chief Thomas Carter says Buckner shot and killed himself inside the residence.

On Feb. 4, police say Buckner shot a man and woman in their arms outside a residence in the area of North 5th and Granite streets. Both victims were expected to recover from their injuries.
