Police in Adams County busy with holiday season crime

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Holiday crime investigations have state police busy in the Gettysburg area.

Last week, police were called to a home in Mount Joy Township for the theft of a FedEx package. Police report the package of auto parts was removed from the home’s front porch during daylight hours.

And state police are also looking for the shopper who used counterfeit money last Friday to make purchases in the Staples store on York Road in Straban Township. Police say a man shopping during the evening hours used counterfeit $50 and $100 bills to make an $850 purchase.

Police have not said whether the two cases are related.

Anyone with information can contact state police at the Gettysburg barracks at 717-334-8111.
