Harrisburg man charged in heroin overdose death

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A 29-year-old Harrisburg man has been indicted by a federal grand jury for distributing heroin that resulted in the death of a person.

According to the US Attorney Bruce D. Brandler, Erik Palmer supplied the heroin on January 13 to a person whose body was found a day later.

An autopsy revealed the person died of acute morphine toxicity.

Palmer continued selling heroin in March and April, Thursday’s press release said.

If convicted, Palmer faces a mandatory minimum of 20 years in prison.
