HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A bizarre murder trial will continue Wednesday in Dauphin County.
The man on trial is accused of killing his elderly girlfriend.
David Barksdale, 51, is charged with first-degree murder.
Prosecutors allege Barksdale killed 83-year-old Peggy Swan in June of 2014 after he was being investigated for sexually assaulting her.
Barksdale argues the two were a couple.
Tuesday, prosecutors showed he left 18 erratic voicemails for a protection services caseworker.
Barksdale’s defense team says police did not thoroughly investigate all suspects and point out that a friend of Swan’s came to her home looking for money.
