State trooper charged with DUI

CAMP HILL, Pa. (WHTM) – A Pennsylvania State Police trooper has been charged with DUI in Cumberland County.

Court documents state the incident occurred Nov. 12 in Lower Allen Township.

Trooper Robert Thomas Hicks’ blood alcohol content was at least twice the legal limit, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Jan. 20.

Hicks is still employed with Pennsylvania State Police, according to Cpl. Adam Reed. An internal investigation is underway.
