Halifax man charged with assaulting child, forcing him to lie about injuries

HALIFAX, Pa. (WHTM) – A Halifax man has been charged following an investigation into child abuse.

Pennsylvania State Police in Lykens and Dauphin County Children and Youth Services investigated the incident, which occurred in August.

Justin Alexander Kryscio, 31, was arrested Tuesday on charges of assaulting a child less than 13 years old and intimidation or obstruction in a child abuse case.

Police have accused Kryscio of striking a 6-year-old child in the head, causing an injury. He threatened the child and intimidated him into fabricating a story about his injuries to investigators, police said.

Kryscio was taken into custody and transported to the Dauphin County Judicial Center for arraignment.
