Rabbits give birth in about 30 days to 4-12 babies which are called kits. They can get pregnant again within a day or 2 of giving birth. Baby bunnies are born without fur, their eyes are closed and they don’t move around very much. Their eyes open on day 10. A male is called a buck and a female is called a doe. They are herbivores only eating vegetables, gray hays, herbs and lettuces. Rabbits sleep 8-9 hours a day and when asleep they often twitch and their nose stops wiggling. They have 28 teeth which never stop growing. Lifespan is 8-10 years with proper care. More than half of the world’s rabbits live in North America.
