CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) – Carlisle officials made hundreds of calls Thursday morning, alerting people that they are issuing a water usage restriction until further notice.
Michael Brady is the manager at the Gingerbread Man. He says the phone call came early.
“They asked us to cut back on the amount of water we use,” Brady said. “We knew it was important, and we put a plan together.”
Brady says they decided to wash dishes in bulk to cut back on their water use.
Borough officials are asking people to refrain from washing clothes for a couple days, and minimize use in other areas, until further notice.
Students at Dickinson College received email alerts.
Cricket Cary-Green said students are aware of the situation and are taking it seriously.
“I plan on taking quick showers,” Cary-Green said. “I will not keep the water running when I brush my teeth and wash my face.”
