Sen. Leach wants PA to join National Popular Vote Compact

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A Delaware County legislator is calling for the popular vote to select the country’s president.

Democratic state Senator Daylin Leach wants Pennsylvania to join the National Popular Vote Compact.

It’s an agreement between states to award their Electoral College votes to the winner of the national popular vote, regardless the outcome of that state.

The latest count indicates that Hillary Clinton lead Donald Trump by more than 2 ½ million votes, but Trump won the Electoral College vote.
