LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – Police in Lancaster are looking for a man wanted on a number of charges, including rape and assault.
An officer responded Wednesday to a home in the 800 block of Marjory Terrace for a reported domestic disturbance. The officer was told the suspect, Jamel Prister, left the scene.
A victim said she was assaulted and threatened by Prister on Monday at another address in Lancaster.
A criminal complaint was filed against Prister and a warrant was obtained for his arrest. He is wanted on charges of rape, aggravated assault, sexual assault, simple assault, unlawful restraint, intimidation of a witness or victim, stalking, criminal trespass and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Police said Prister had taken a 1995 maroon Honda Odyssey with Pennsylvania registration KBN-0745.
Prister is known to have access to firearms, according to police.
Those with information on Prister’s location are asked to call the Lancaster City Bureau of Police at 717-664-1180 or Lancaster Crime Stoppers at 800-322-1913. Tips can also be delivered by texting LANCS plus a message to 847411.
Anyone who sees Prister is asked not to approach him or attempt to stop him. They should instead call 911.
