CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Police say a man stabbed earlier this month in Chambersburg has died in the hospital.
Adiel Sanchez Frometa, 17, has now been charged in the stabbing death of Anthony Hernadez.
On Nov. 18, officers responded to the 100 block of N. Fourth and found Hernandez lying on the ground, bleeding and unresponsive.
Hernandez was transported to Chambersburg Hospital and later flown to York Trauma Center for life-threatening injuries.
According to a criminal report, Frometa told investigators that he got into an argument with Hernandez before stabbing and then stealing his car.
Hernandez’s car was found at a local Speedway. A large amount of blood was discovered on the passenger’s side of the vehicle.
Witnesses interviewed by police say they saw Frometa on the night of stabbing covered in blood.
Frometa is charged with first-degree murder, aggravated assault, robbery of a motor vehicle, and theft by unlawful taking.
