Police searching for robber who held up York County Walmarts, convenience stores

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – Police in York County are looking for a man who robbed the Walmart in West Manchester Township on Monday morning.

Investigators say the man approached the customer service counter and demanded money. According to police, the man threatened having a gun, but never showed it.

The man is described as being in his late 40s, approximately 5’8 or 5’9, wearing blue jeans, a gray full-zip hoodie, and a dark gray or black knit beanie-style hat.

Police say the man made off with cash, and drove off in a two-tone maroon and gray Hyundai Santa Fe with black roof racks and a large dent in the right rear quarter panel.

Investigators have positively identified the suspect as the same person responsible for 3 additional robberies, at the East York Walmart in July, the Turkey Hill on Roosevelt Ave. in York City on Sunday, and a previous robbery at the same West York Walmart on November 15th.

Anyone with information regarding this subject or vehicle is asked to contact Detective Sean J. Conway, WMTPD at (717)792-9514.
