Cyclist robbed at gunpoint on Greenbelt trail

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Swatara Township police are investigating an armed robbery that happened Monday afternoon on the Greenbelt.

It happened just before 4:45 p.m. at the entrance of the trail on South 28th Street.

Police say a man was riding his bike when he was approached by two male teens who drew out a gun and demanded that he get off.

The pair assaulted the man after he refused to give up the bicycle. They then fled westbound on the trail toward 19th St.

One of the males was described as having a “parted afro” and wearing a blue jacket. The second was described as having a stocky build and wearing an orange jacket.
