HAVANA (AP) – Cuba’s state-run newspapers, television and radio have been running wall-to-wall tributes since the death of former president Fidel Castro late Friday.

Former National Assembly President Ricardo Alarcon tells state TV, “There’s a genuine feeling of mourning.” He says it’s not “showy” but “intimate.”

Most people have been staying at home and off streets during nine days of mourning that include no music or celebration.

There will be more tributes today.
