Boy Scouts sell Christmas trees to community

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM)- The Boy Scouts troop 80 in Mechanicsburg started selling their Christmas trees on Friday.

They have a thousand and hope to sell them all by Christmas eve.

This is the only fundraiser they do for the year to benefit the troop.

“I think it’s a good experience, overall. Because it helps us and it helps other people…because they’re buying, they’re supporting a local scout troop. And they get a Christmas tree,” said scout Nic Moyer.

The trees are sold in front of the Mechanicsburg Presbyterian church.
