It’s been months since we tapped into moisture from the Gulf of Mexico to bring a soaking rain, but next week’s deer season may experience this atmospheric stream for the middle of the week. Monday will start off clear and quiet with clouds increasing for the afternoon as a cold front nears the state. Temperatures will remain warm through midweek as a steady southerly breeze develops by Tuesday. We expect the first round of showers to occur during the day on Tuesday from the cold front. Initial forecasts shows about a half inch of rain for Tuesday.
An area of low pressure from the Gulf will follow the front to bring steady rain for part of Wednesday and Wednesday night. Some places could see an additional inch of rain on Wednesday. Rainfall amounts could change and we’ll continue watching these systems for next week and have more updates on our abc27 weather page.
