YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – A York woman is jailed after police say she admitted to severely abusing her 3-year-old stepdaughter.
Breasjah A. Fulp, 21, claimed the girl fell down a flight of stairs after she was admitted to a hospital for several days in late September, but she later told police she lied to cover up several incidents of abuse, according to charging documents filed by city police.
Fulp admitted she hit her stepdaughter and caused the girl to fall back and hit her head on the floor. Fulp also admitted she was dragging her stepdaughter by the arm when the child forcefully hit a door, and Fulp said then she picked up the girl and dropped her on the floor, the criminal complaint states.
A witness told investigators that Fulp dragged the girl on a sidewalk by her hair and struck her several times with a closed fist.
Fulp is charged with aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and obstruction. She was placed in the York County Prison on $100,000 bail pending a preliminary hearing on Dec. 7.
