2 charged with robbing man at gunpoint

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Two men were arrested shortly after robbing a man at gunpoint Tuesday night in Harrisburg, police said.

Juan Acevedo-Green and Michael Shannon are both charged with robbery and criminal conspiracy-robbery. Shannon is additionally charged with tampering evidence and paraphernalia.

Police say the incident happened just after 8 p.m. at the victim’s door’s step in the 1100 block of Green Street.

According to the victim, Green and Shannon followed him to his home, then said, “this is a robbery, give me your wallet.”

Police located the men about ten minutes later near the 1700 block of Susquehanna Street. One of the men was in possession of two BB-guns and the other was observed dumping a wallet down a drain.

The victim was brought to the scene and positively identified Acevedo-Green, police said.
