YORK, Pa. (AP) – Police say a central Pennsylvania police chief’s stolen body armor has been found in the home of a former high school basketball star.

That man, 19-year-old Jahaire Wilson, of York, was wanted Wednesday on burglary and theft charges.

Police investigating a Manchester Township house burglary on Friday found a shoe and a cellphone that led them to Wilson’s home. That’s where police say they found the body armor previously stolen from Southwestern Regional Police Chief James Boddington, and other items stolen from other victims.

Boddington’s body armor and service pistol were stolen from a locked garage in York Township on Oct. 20. The gun has yet to be recovered.

Northern York County Regional police filed the charges against Wilson, who starred at York High School before graduating last year.
