HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Police are investigating 2 weekend robberies in Harrisburg which left 2 people injured.
The first incident happened Saturday evening at 5:11 p.m. near 2nd and Verbeke Streets.
Police founnd a 52 year-old man whith a broken left ankle and a small laceration on his forehead.
The victim told police he was approached by a man who asked for money, when the victim declined, the suspect forcibly took $20 from him.
During the struggle for the $20, the victim sustained a broken ankle. The victim was transported to Harrisburg Hospital for treatment.
A second robbery occurred around 5:35 p.m. that same eventing near the 1500 block of Walnut Street.
Police say a 53 year-old man was approached by a group of 3 or 4 ment, one of them called out to him, when he turned around, he was struck with a hard object on the left side of hist face.
WhiIe on the ground, the men assaulted him, and searched his pockets taking $20 from him.
He could not provide a description, or a direction in which they ran off.
