Teenager fatally struck by car while roller skating in Lancaster County

STRASBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A teenager has died after he was struck by a vehicle over the weekend in Lancaster County.

A 13-year-old was roller skating behind a horse and buggy late Saturday afternoon in the 700 block of Bunker Hill Road in Strasburg Township.

According to police, someone in the horse and buggy dropped a glove onto the road. The teenager skated into the lane for oncoming traffic to pick up the glove.

At that time, a car struck the teenager.

He was taken to Penn State Children’s Hospital and died Sunday.

The three occupants of the car were not injured.

The crash has been ruled accidental and no charges will be filed.
