Lancaster man faces charges for accidentally shooting himself

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A 21-year-old who accidently shot himself in a Lancaster parking lot is facing charges.

Finch Damien Scott, of Lancaster, was taken into custody after his release from the hospital Wednesday and charged with illegal possession of a firearm.

On Nov. 4, police responded to the 600 block of North Franklin Street for a report of a shooting. After reviewing surveillance footage of the area, investigators learned that Scott suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the leg.

Scott reportedly went home before seeking treatment at Lancaster General Hospital.

He was placed in Lancaster County Prison on $100,000 bail.
