Thrifty Thursday: Using Those Thanksgiving Leftovers

Pumpkin Ravioli in a brown butter sauce.


Leftover pumpkin pie (just the filling)

Wonton Wrappers.



Save leaves


Cut wonton wrappers into large rectangles.

Fill 1 Tablespoon of pumpkin pie filling on one half of the wrapper.

Fold over, remove air and use water to help create a seal.

Cook ravioli  in boiling water 2 minutes.

Make Butter sauce:

Melt butter and allow the milk solids to brown

Add sage leaves to the butter and allow to crisp.

Pour butter sauce over ravioli and garnish with the crisp sage leaves and the chopped walnuts.


Chocolate Covered mandarins with sea salt

5 mandarin oranges

1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate or dark chocolate chips

sea salt or coarse salt

Peel mandarins.

Melt chocolate in microwave.

Dip mandarin halfway in the melted chocolate.

Sprinkle with sea salt.

Refrigerate to harden the chocolate.
