Suspect wanted for hitting woman with bat, stealing money from her walker

LEBANON, Pa. (WHTM) – Lebanon police are investigating a violent robbery that happened Wednesday morning.

Officers met a 61-year-old woman at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital who said she was the victim of a robbery in the 200 block of South 7th Street shortly after 11 a.m.

The victim told police she was walking, with the assistance of her walker, when a male approached her and struck her leg with a souvenir baseball bat. As she fell to the ground, the suspect took money kept on the walker.

A woman chased the suspect off and took the victim to the hospital, according to police.

The victim was treated for minor injuries.

The suspect is described as a teenager, about 5-foot-6 with a medium build.

Police are working to identify the woman who aided the victim.
