HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A new website unveiled Thursday by the state offers one-stop shopping for returning veterans who often need help and don’t know where to get it.
It is called the Pennsylvania Network of Care. It is an interactive website to help veterans access services and support.
It brings together information from 1,700 websites and 200 agencies, from mental health care help to job placement. Basically, anything a veteran needs should be found on this one website in the privacy of their own computers or mobile devices.
“Our service members and veterans should not have to jump hoops or face confusing or fragmented systems when they return home and when they need services,” Gov. Tom Wolf said. “A Network of Care is going to help change that.”
“Sometimes the hardest thing in the world to do is ask for help,” Human Services Secretary Ted Dallas said. “This website makes it very easy to see what’s out there and connect with the people that want to help.”
It might sound kind of obvious, but there never was a single website that had all the necessary information in one spot. A Network of Care will also tailor it to your specific county.
