Smucker elected to Congress

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A Republican state senator from Lancaster County has won a seat in Congress.

Lloyd Smucker was elected to the 16th Congressional District by winning a three-way race with Democrat Christina Hartman and Libertarian Shawn House in Tuesday’s election.

The district includes parts of Lancaster, Berks, and Chester counties

Republican Joe Pitts held the office for 20 years.
