MIDDLETOWN, Pa. (WHTM) – Police in Middletown say a man in their custody has admitted to burglaries in the area.
The recent burglaries in which copper pipes and tools were stolen caused thousands of dollars in damages to 14 homes in Middletown.
A person of interested was taken into custody and interviewed.
That interview with investigators prompted a search warrant and the arrest of 43-year-old James Goodling, who admitted to the burglaries, according to police.
As of this time, Goodling has been charged with theft and causing damage amounting to over $12,000.
Detectives are investigating whether some of the over 20 burglaries since June are unrelated to Goodling.
