High pressure takes hold to kick off the work week with beautiful autumn days ahead. Expect sunny skies and highs in the lower to mid 60s! That’s slightly above average for early November. That being said, temperatures are starting in the lower 30s this morning in some spots and will likely do so again Tuesday morning. That could lead to some frosty areas this morning and Tuesday morning despite the mild afternoons ahead! Either way, Central PA will luck out on Election Day with a beautiful forecast.
On Wednesday & Thursday slightly cooler air will work its way into Central PA with highs in the mid 50s. The cooler air is associated with a weak cold front that could bring a stray shower early Wednesday morning. Other than that, it looks mainly dry this week. By Friday, another front will move through bringing an even colder shot of air in for the weekend. Saturday could bring the coldest air of the young season. It will be short-lived, but highs Saturday will be stuck in the 40s with even a flurry possible north and west of Harrisburg. By Sunday we already bounce back into the lower 50s with lighter winds. Still a bit of a roller coaster this week…stay tuned.
