Man charged with leaving scene of crash

EPHRATA, Pa. (WHTM) – A man has been charged in Lancaster County with leaving the scene of a vehicle crash that injured another person.

The crash happened the morning of Sept. 14 in the 400 block of North Reading Road in Ephrata.

According to police, 41-year-old Tomas R. Matias struck another vehicle with his own when he pulled from a parking lot.

The passenger in the other vehicle was injured.

Matias fled the scene on foot, police said.

He was charged with failing to remain at the scene of a crash involving personal injury and driving while his operating privilege is suspended.
