Greencastle woman charged for stealing over $636K from employer

MERCERSBURG, Pa – (WHTM) – Pennsylvania State Police have charged a Greencastle woman with theft and forgery for allegedly stealing more than a half-million dollars from her employer.

State police said Karen Jean Geesaman took $636,786 from Snider’s Elevator Inc. in Lemasters where she worked. According to a state police report, an audit uncovered the missing money that reportedly disappeared from July 2012 and January 2016.

Geesaman has been charged with multiple theft, forgery, and tampering with records charges.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 22.
