CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) – The Cumberland County coroner has identified a Mechanicsburg man who died in a three-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in West Pennsboro Township.

Ronald Shull Kell, 78, died when his vehicle was struck by one of two vehicles that collided at the intersection of Ritner Highway and Burnt House Road, Coroner Charley Hall said.

State police in Carlisle said the initial crash occurred when a 19-year-old Newville man went through a stop sign on Burnt House Road and drove into the path of a vehicle northbound on Ritner Highway.

Police said the Newville man and his 3-year-old son sustained minor injuries. They said the boy was flown to a hospital for “cautionary reasons.”

Two people in the second car, a 31-year-old Carlisle woman and her 4-year-old daughter, also sustained minor injuries, police said.
