HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Governor Tom Wolf is hoping a Pennsylvania-based uniform manufacturer will continue supplying Major League Baseball with its uniforms.

MLB is considering switching the manufacturer of team uniforms and fan apparel from VF Majestic to Under Armour starting in 2020.

Upon learning that MLB is mulling this change, Wolf wrote a letter to Commissioner Robert Manfred, Jr.

“VF Majestic has produced high-quality athletic apparel for the Major League Baseball Authentic Collection for years. The Company and its employees are true baseball fans with a genuine pride in what they do,” Wolf said in the letter.

Wolf extended an invitation for Manfred to talk with him further before MLB enters final negotiations.

VF Majestic employs over 500 people.
