Crews battle two fires in Harrisburg

Harrisburg, Pa. (WHTM) – Crews battle a row home fire in Harrisburg, and a separate fire in the southside area of Allison Hill.

The first fire broke out around 4:30 Tuesday morning near Swatara and Hummel Streets. A wooden three story structure burned to the ground.

While crews were there, a second fire started in the 1200 block of Chestnut Street. It then spread to one other row home.

Four people were trapped inside one of the homes. Firefighters say they did not have smoke alarms and were unaware there was a fire.

No word what started the fire.

Out of the two homes on Chestnut Street, one is a complete loss and the other has damages of about $80,000-$100,000.
