Man arrested after police chase from Carlisle to York

CARLISLE, Pa. (WHTM) – A man led officers on two pursuits Sunday night after threatening to shoot a Carlisle woman and her young son, police said.

Kenneth Clark Jr., 36, of Levittown, fled from officers as they responded to the incident in the 100 block of West Penn Street and was traveling more than 60 mph on borough streets, Carlisle police said in a news release.

Clark was later found at the Pioneer gas station in Middlesex Township where police said he pointed a handgun in the direction of a patrol officer and took off again.

A resulting chase reached speeds of 120 mph as Clark fled from police on Interstate 81, Route 581, and Interstate 83. He exited I-83 in York and crashed in the 1800 block of North George Street, authorities said.

Middlesex Township and state police arrested him after a foot chase.
