Harrisburg man wanted for robbery of Lemoyne gas station

LEMOYNE, Pa. (WHTM) – Authorities have identified a Harrisburg man as their suspect in the weekend robbery of a Lemoyne gas station.

Police are looking for 26-year-old James Betz, Cumberland County Crime Stoppers announced Monday.

Betz is accused of robbing the Lemoyne Mart, in the 200 block of South Third Street, on Saturday night.

West Shore Regional police have said the gas station was robbed around 11:15 p.m. after a man sprayed a clerk with an unknown substance, causing the clerk to be temporarily blinded.

The robber then grabbed the cash drawer, yanked it off the counter, and fled the store with it.

Anyone with information on Betz’s whereabouts is asked to call the police department at 717-238-9676.
