Vacant homes in York catch fire for second time this year

YORK, Pa. (WHTM) – Two vacant homes went up in flames Thursday evening in York.

Crews responded around 7 p.m. to the 500 block of Susquehanna Avenue to find both homes ablaze.

The homes were also on fire earlier this year, according to the York City Fire Department.

Crews were able to stop the fire from spreading to additional exposures.

The buildings were then brought down by public works crews.

No injuries have been reported.

A cause was not immediately announced by fire officials.
