Tree trimmer injured when truck overturns in Fairview Township

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. (WHTM) – A tree trimmer was flown to a hospital after a bucket truck overturned in Fairview Township, police said.

John Hall, 38, of Berwick, was working in the bucket and was 50-60 feet off the ground when the side support of the Asplundh tree trimming truck sank into the ground and tipped over on its side Wednesday afternoon, township police said.

Hall was flown from the bucket and sustained serious injuries. He was flown by Life Lion helicopter to Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

The truck was parked off the roadway in the 700 block of Fishing Creek Road when the accident occurred around 3 p.m.
