Thanksgiving turkeys needed at Bethesda Mission

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – Turkeys and other goods are needed to help feed those in need on Thanksgiving Day.

The Bethesda Mission in Harrisburg is looking for donations for meals at the shelter and for meals that will be delivered to the aged and shut-ins.

Executive director Chuck Wingate says he wants to ensure that anyone who needs a meal will get it.

“For over 102 years, this community has responded to the needs of our neighbors, and we are confident that this year will be no different,” said Wingate. “But we need your help!”

Those wishing to help may bring their donations to Bethesda Mission, at 611 Reily Street in Harrisburg, at any time.

The mission is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
