Police charge Lancaster woman with simple assault

LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – Police have charged a 25-year-old woman with simple assault after an incident at her boyfriend’s home on October 20.

East Cocalico Township police were called to a home on the 300 block of North 6th street in Denver.

Officers arrived and spoke with a male victim who stated his girlfriend, Ashley Rivera struck him on the back of his head with a metal fan, punched him in the nose, and bit him in the shoulder.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Rivera was taken into custody, arraigned in district court, and released on bail.
