LANCASTER, Pa. (WHTM) – A 36-year-old Lancaster man will serve up to eight years in prison for burglarizing two city homes last April.
In Lancaster County court, Samuel Sanchez pleaded guilty to felony counts of burglary and attempted burglary in exchange for a 4-to-8-year prison term.
Police said Sanchez targeted the homes at random on the morning of April 23.
Sanchez entered one home on Virginia Avenue and fled from another on Buchanan Avenue when a couple living there saw him trying to get inside through a broken window.
Witnesses told police Sanchez was wearing a yellow and blue striped long-sleeved shirt with a hood.
At the Virginia Avenue home, police said Sanchez left a shoe print on the deck that was later matched to the shoes he was wearing that day.
