MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A Harrisburg woman is jailed after police say she robbed a Mechanicsburg woman and threatened the victim’s baby.
Angela Jackson, 31, was arrested Monday on charges of robbery, endangering the welfare of children, criminal trespass, terroristic threats, unlawful restraint, false imprisonment, theft, and criminal mischief.
The victim told investigators that Jackson had stayed in her apartment Sunday night. She said when she awoke, she had a cell phone charging cord wrapped around her neck, Mechanicsburg police said in a news release.
The woman told officers that Jackson forced her to bind herself around her wrists and ankles, and she said Jackson threatened to kill her baby if she screamed or yelled. The baby was also in the apartment.
Jackson then freed the woman, had her get into a cab, and had the cab drive to an ATM where she forced the victim to withdraw money. The woman was able to run into her apartment when the cab returned. When Jackson kicked in a back door, she fled the apartment and called 911, police said.
Jackson was arrested later in the day and placed in Cumberland County Prison on $250,000 bail.
