PLAINFIELD, Pa (WHTM) – In a vote of 3-0, West Pennsboro Township Supervisors approved a plan to rezone residential property, allowing for the building of two warehouses. Allen Distribution is the contractor.
The board voted in the summer for the rezoning.
Residents complained that the board did not provide proper notice for a plan of that size. The board decided to allow public comment on Monday night.
When it was over, Chairman Gerald Barrick and the other supervisors decided to move ahead with the rezoning.
“I know this will not be popular among those people who will live near the warehouses,” Barrick said “I think it is in the best interest of the township, that we move forward with the plan.”
Attorney Nathan Wolf is representing a resident who does not support the rezoning.
“We will appeal in the Court of Common Pleas,” Wolf said. “This is far from over.”
