John DiSanto is the Republican candidate for the 15th state Senate district in Dauphin and Perry counties.
abc27 News is making free airtime available to candidates. The following is the full-text of DiSanto’s statement:
“I’m John DiSanto and I am running for the State Senate in Dauphin and Perry County.
For the past 35 years I have worked in the private sector with my family’s business. I have created hundreds of good paying jobs, balanced budgets, built communities across our region, and learned that with a little common sense and a willingness to work with people, things get done.
I decided to run for the Senate because of the government’s overreach and partisan approach to everything. In the real world there aren’t political ideas, just good and bad ideas.
We need people with a strong record of accomplishment and community involvement to bring new leadership and begin solving the problems we face, not just talk about them.
Career politicians have forgotten taxpayers while taking care of themselves and the special interests. It’s long past the time to reform public pensions, improve our schools, and fix the property tax system with taxpayers in mind.
I’m asking for your vote on November 8th, so that I can be a voice for the most underrepresented interest of all, you.”
