Derry Twp. police send warning about possible scam

HERSHEY, Pa. (WHTM) – The Derry Township Police Department is advising residents to be aware of a possible phone scam.

Calls have been made from a number that appears as the “Township of Derry” on caller ID.

The phone number used appears to be a local number, according to police.

The caller has a foreign accent.

Anyone who receives such a call is advised not to give out personal information and should hang up.

Victims of this scam are asked to call the Derry Township Police Department at 717-534-2200.
