Harrisburg police investigating second shooting in less than 24 hours

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – The city’s second shooting in less than 24 hours left the victim in critical condition.

A male victim was shot just north of the Harrisburg Park Apartments on South 15th Street around 7 p.m. Tuesday.

An officer heard the shots and saw the victim running toward the apartments.

Police at the scene said the victim was shot in the thigh and taken by ambulance to a hospital where he was in surgery. He reportedly lost a lot of blood and lost consciousness after EMS arrived.

A man was shot in the leg late Monday night in the 1900 block of Walnut Street. He is expected to recover.

Dauphin County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
