The rest of the weekend features seasonable warmth with highs in the 70s for Sunday afternoon. The upcoming warmth will be from a ridge of high pressure over the southeast US which will pump plenty of warm air into the state. This atmospheric set up is very similar to September’s weather pattern that brought very warm and dry conditions to our area. Other than a weak front producing clouds Monday morning, much of this week will be unseasonably warm as we get close to record warm on Tuesday and Wednesday peaking near 80F.
We do see a break down of this high pressure later this week, allowing for some showers later Thursday into Friday. A look at next weekend shows cooler air returning to the Midstate.
